Alyosha Doktor, 3 years old, congenital developmental defect of the genitourinary system, Prune belly syndrome, needs an operation, 89,274.00 GBP

Alyosha was born seriously ill – his abdominal muscles were underdeveloped and his kidneys and ureters were elongated. Urine flowed back from the bladder into the ureters. My son had several operations in the first few months of his life. He had to have stoma surgery and the ureters were pulled directly outwards from the kidneys. Now there is constant leakage from them and I always put him in pampers. His bladder has shrunken and barely works as it should. He suffers from persistent inflammation of the kidneys. He has a high temperature and needs to be given powerful antibiotics. The situation could become critical, with a kidney transplant becoming necessary. The experts believe that the urological problems need to be solved first so that he won’t need to wear pampers anymore.

Professor Mushtaq in London could help us. We can’t pay the clinic as only my husband works and we have two children. Please help us – we can’t do anything without you!

Paediatric Urologist and Surgeon, Professor Imran Mushtaq (London): “The patient is in need of effective treatment of the urinary tract. We will try to increase the volume of the bladder and urinary continence, and restore normal functioning of the genitourinary system. This will improve his health and quality of life”.
