Creative Camp ‘Live Classics’
in England

When: 30th of March 2018 – 6th of April 2018

Where: Kingswood Grosvenor Hall, Kennington, Ashford TN25 4AJ

The creators of the international competition of young readers ‘Live Classics’ in partnership with Rusfond UK (www.rusfond.org.uk/ru) invite schoolchildren to participate in the course in Russian!

The purpose of the creative camp ‘Live Classics’ is to create children's community where the children can communicate in Russian, write, create and use their time profitably. The project helps to foster interest in the Russian language and literature, to introduce schoolchildren to reading, to expand their reading horizons, and to increase literacy.

The project is designed for Russian-speaking children aged 10–16 years in England and other countries, as well as children under care of organisation Rusfond UK, receiving treatment in England.

The camp will take place in Grosvenor Hall (Kingswood Camp) in the south of England during the autumn school break.

The children will have classes in three areas:

  • acting skills,
  • school of writers,
  • journalism.

It is an opportunity for young talents to communicate with peers and teachers in native Russian, to speak correctly and have an eloquent tongue, professionally write stories and essays, create your own stories and, possibly, even a short film!

We will bring our team of teachers from GITIS, laureates of literary and journalistic awards!

Course includes:

  • daily classes in the creative areas of ‘Live Classics’ (acting, writing, journalism),
  • quests, games, film screenings, creative tasks in Russian,
  • sports, swimming pool, discos,
  • excursions.

Following the results of course, we present video projects, show actor sketches and publish essays of children in Russian-language publications.

Course cost: GBP 790

The price includes: meals, accommodation, educational course of ‘Live Classics’, entertainment program of the camp.

Advance booking with Project Manager of Rusfond UK Irina Varivoda: e-mail iriny28@gmail.com, tel. 075 21242812; or curator of the camp Daria Shestukhina: daria_shestukhina@liveclassics.ru.

We look forward to meeting you!
